This is the song Inside Out. I wrote this song on a little kids "teaching" keyboard, then just layered it on from that point. I recorded all the tracks in my walk in closet where i had my little studio set up. It is one of my favorite songs because of the way everything meshes together so perfectly. also the included thumbnail is a sonogram of this song Sonogram= is an analysis of sound by marking volume, pitch, and upper harmonic frequencies using colors on a graph. EnJoY!
I wrote this song specific for a New Dance Dance Revolution game that will be coming out this Xmas. Its a different style from most of my other songs but i like the chorus and hook. I did all of the writing, recording, playing, singing, synth instruments, drum beats, mixing, and mastering on this song. It was great to be able to do the whole thing from start to finish all by myself. Not that i dont record my songs all the time because i do but this song was for an important/high quality client and i would normally need to get chucks help to put the finishing touches on a project of this caliber.
I wrote this song about getting back up no matter what knocks you down. I feel like the lyrics in this song are some of my most favorite lines that i have written. This song was chosen by Microsoft to be on the XBOX360 game TopSpin 2. Enjoy!!!!
This song is pretty simple but i wrote it about having such an amazing experience with a girl and falling in love for the first time. All of the acoustic songs on this site were all recorded live and i really want to work on this song and add in some more instruments/band when i do really record it. Btw i really love the wailing Bridge.....!
I wrote this song about playing in my band and rocking out!! This song was also picked by Microsoft to be on the XBOX360 game Topspin 2. I really like the Progressive rock styled Solo at the end....
I wrote this song after losing my younger sister Kali to the 2004 Tsunami. It is one of my favorites because of the lyrics. I cant explain how i wrote this song or what it is that this song has that makes it so special to me.

I wrote this song about how frustrated i am with the music and bands today. To me it feels like its not about talent or content of the media just what is catchy for 5 seconds. I think that the only non rap/pop music that gets played on the radio is all of the pop-punk-rock bands. I can not distinguish one from another because they all sound the same, its like 1 band with 500 different names because they are all just tracings of each other without anything unique to set them apart. The band members have Low if any musical skill, they use same chord progressions, the same high pitch whiny male vocals, only power chords on the guitar, and a fast simple drum beats with whiny poor me lyrics poured on top. I guess i am just nostalgic of the bands from past years that prided themselves on having musical gifts and using those gifts to accentuate expression in their music. Today it seems like bands just want to put out an expressionless bubblegum styled pop hook into one hit in hopes of becoming rich and famous.
I wrote this song about a girl that i met at an SLS summer vocal program in California. We became very close while there and continued our relationship for a short time thereafter. The lyrics of this song talk about how i felt to be away from her and how even though we were only together for a short time, the feelings were much deeper than surface level.
This was one of the first set of songs that i wrote when i was about 13. This song was written about the journey ahead of me into music stardom. This song was also picked by Microsoft to be on the XBOX360 tennis game TOPSPIN 2.....I think that it is great that 4 out of the 5 songs picked for that particular game were some of the first songs i had ever written......
I wrote this song and recorded it on piano. I really love the chord changes at the end because they are very Beatles-esque and the guitar solo is very Led Zeppelin-esque. Over all its a great song. I wrote it about how i wish that i could see all the amazing things on this planet but there is just not enough time for any of us to experience all that this world holds....
This was one of the first 10 or so songs i wrote. This song was picked from my song archives by microsoft to be on TOPSPIN 2 for XBOX360. I like it, its simple, totally rocking, and its got a good jist about it.
This song was written in open G tuning on the guitar and was the result of a bunch of different musical ideas that i put together. For this Recording my drummer did background vocals which i feel really make this song special.
I wrote this song about a bad breakup and how i felt that i should just give up, and say goodbye.... I did all of the instruments on this track, Drums, Guitar, Bass, Voice, FX, Piano..... I used a drum beat off a guitar pedal and just looped it the whole song. Then i had my drummer do the same beat as the loop and then i recorded him for this version so that the beat had changes.
This a one of my songs called CTRL (like the computer keyboard abbreviation for control.)
I wrote this song just off a feeling i had 5 years back. I wrote it on piano then recorded my piano work, overdubbed guitars, and sang the lyrics i wrote for it. One of the cool things about this song is how it starts with a fuzzy sentence "For your lost control is not your only crime." One day i was playing my 82 gibson explorer guitar and i noticed that the guitar pickups were hearing my voice and other noises within the room and amplifying those sounds out of my guitar speakers as if i had been using a microphone. I thought it might be cool to use the actual guitar as a microphone to see if i could do some cool effects. So for this song i plugged my guitar into an amp then spoke the sentence into the guitar and then recorded it. That is how i got the weird vocal effect and the strange spaceship noises that follow my initial sentence........ So there you Go Enjoy!
I wrote this song about my mother. She passed away when i was 3 from cancer/leukemia. I think that this is one of my deepest songs. I am very critical of my lyrics and i feel like this of any songs, was the hardest one to write. I kept crossing out the words i wrote in an attempt to censor my work of corny words and phrases. After a while i just let it flow and didn't critique what i wrote and this song is what came out of that.....
I wrote the lyrics to this song when i was at Princeton for my fathers 25th reunion. It was very green and lush there and i dont know where the jist of this song came from but i really like the rhythm and the guitar work.
OUT THESE EYES was Part 2 of the song way we are and when i recorded way we are i made it end exactly how Out These Eyes Began so they would flow into each other without a pause.
I wrote LET ME about The loss of one of my first girlfriends. I was walking on the beach north of San Diego With my acoustic guitar and just started jamming. When i got back to my house i tried using one of my harmonicas to play around and ended up coming up with a cool mesh a melodies.
RUBY RED has an interesting story behind it. When I was 13 or so there was an Red 1989 Lotus Esprit for sale by my house. I fell in love with that car and named her Ruby Red. Shortly thereafter i wrote this song about her and how all my other relationships turn bad but with Ruby it would be different. If I only could have afforded her....But in 2007 i bought a never Version of Ruby in the form of a 2003 Lotus Esprit. It is black but the name still stuck RUBY RED. You can see pictures of her on my profile.
